Congregation of Lasallian Brothers celebrates 150th anniversary

A ceremony for the Congregation of Lasallian Brothers marking its 150th founding anniversary in Vietnam and 112th anniversary in Hue city was solemnly held on May 16 at Hue Cathedral.

The ceremony was presided over by Archbishop of Hue Archdiocese Francis Xavier Lê Văn Hồng and attended by Priest Vicar General, brothers of the Congregation of Lasallian Brothers across the country, representatives of the Catholic Congregations and a large number of alumni of the Pellerin Lasan school in Hue city.

During the event, Archbishop Francis Xavier Lê Văn Hồng congratulated the Congregation of Lasallian Brothers on its founding anniversary. He also hailed the Bothers for its contributions to the youth education for Hue Diocese in particular, and the whole country in the general.

The Congregation of Lasallian Brothers was founded by John Baptist de La Salle. The Congregation has been committed to educate the young generations in social and humane values.
