The Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics (CSVC) in Ha Tinh province held a meeting on January 14 for reviewing the implementation of the patriotic emulation movement in 2021 and approving working plans for 2022.

The event saw the participation of representatives of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization and the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs.
As reported at the event, in 2021, the provincial CSVC in collaboration with local authorities have encouraged Catholic compatriots in the province to observe State policies and laws. 1,136 Catholic households have donated total of 48,700 m2 of land, 9,650 plants, and 90,000 working days for upgrading 36.5 m of rural roads.
In addition, the provincial CSVC has also launched many social and charitable projects for building 28 charity houses to disadvantaged households with the total value of 1.8 billion VND; Ha Tinh Caritas weekly presents 100 free meals to poor patients in the provincial Traditional Medicine Hospital every Saturday. On occasion of Tet (Lunar New Year) and Christmas, Catholic dignitaries gathered resources and presented 2,000 gift sets, each worth 500,000 VND (including cash and food) to disadvantaged households in the locality.
Presenting certificates of recommendation to 8 outstanding Catholic groups
On the occasion, the provincial CSVC received a certificate of merit of the Central Committee for solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics and eights Catholic groups and four individuals were awarded with certificates of recommendation from the provincial CSVC for honoring their outstanding contributions in the patriotic movement in 2021.
