An incense-offering ceremony and a performance of Mother Goddess worship to commemorate Tan Vien Son Thanh (God of Tan Vien Mountain) are being underway at Trung temple in Hanoi city’s Ba Vi district.
The events co-organized by Ba Vi district authorities, the Thăng Long – Hà Nội Heritage Conservation Centre and the Hanoi Club for Conservation of Mother Goddess worship will feature traditional worshipping rituals and processions, imperial equipage, drum dances, the practicing of the Mother Goddesses of the Four Realms worship, etc.
The two consecutive events commemorating Tan Vien Son Thanh – one of the four immortals in the traditional Vietnamese mythology aim to educate younger generations on the cultural tradition of showing gratitude to those with great merits to the nation, as well as preserve and promote the national identities.
