On December 24, the Chon Ly Cao Dai Church in Tien Giang province held a meeting to celebrate the Church’s founding anniversary and review its annual activities 2016.
Attending the event included Cardinal Chairman of the Church Executive Council Thái Long Nhựt, members of the Executive Council’s Standing Board, representatives from management boards of 30 parishes and about 500 dignitaries, deacons and followers in the province.
Chairwoman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Bùi Thị Mai was amongst local officials at the meeting.
The meeting reviewed the church’s process of establishment and development, since its formal founding in 1925. Being an endogenous religion, the Chon Ly Cao Dai Church has always accompanied with nation in the cause of building and development.
In its annual activities in 2016, the Verity Cao Dai Church has recorded many good results in religious affairs, including upgrade of 14 establishments, organization of 272 doctrinal classes for about 1,235 participants. Moreover, dignitaries and followers of the Church have actively participated in movements launched by local authorities as well as social and charitable activities, with a contributing value of over VND 900 million for the year 2016.
