Ceremony closing 30th anniversary of the canonisation of 117 martyrs of Vietnam Catholic Church held in Kon Tum

The closing ceremony of the 30th anniversary of the canonisation of the 117 martyrs of the Vietnam Catholic Church was held on November 14 in Kon Tum diocese in Vietnam Central Highlands.
The ceremony taking place at the diocese cathedral located in Kon Tum city was chaired by Bishop of the diocese Aloisio Nguyễn Hùng Vị, and attended by 150 Catholic dignitaries and about 5,000 followers in the diocese.
The 30th anniversary of the canonisation of 117 martyrs has been celebrated by all Catholic dioceses in Vietnam, starting on 19 June.

The ceremony was held on occasion of the Diocese Day of Kon Tum which is annually held on November 14 commemorating to St. Stéphane Théodore Cuénot who was the first missionary in the Central Highlands, as well as Yaophu Day celebrating the organization representing Catholic followers of ethnic groups in the Central Highlands region.
