Long Chau (Pearl of Dragon) boat is the most important worshipping offering in the festival

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, this year festival was held only with worshipping rites including Long Chau (Pearl of Dragon) boat procession featuring local fishermen's respect for gods and the solidarity of the coastal communities. The Long Chau boat was burned on the sea in the last day of the festival.

In addition, other worshipping offerings were offered to the Three Jewels, the Four Saints, the Dong Hai (East Sea) Lord, etc. in order to express thanksgiving to the Buddha and gods for favorable weather, successful sea journeys, and a prosperous and happy life.

The Cau Ngu festival in Ngu Loc commune was recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage in September 2017 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Ngu Loc commune currently has nearly 400 fishing vessels including more than 200 large boats.
