For the past years, Catholics in Ha Nam province have proactively participated in patriotic emulation movements launched by the provincial committee for Catholic solidarity.
According to a report, over six past years, Catholics in the province contributed hundreds of millions VND for promotion of learning and education, with thousands of scholarships have been presented to local children from poor families, donated nearly one billion VND to Agent Orange /dioxin fund and gave about VND 630 million to 126 policy beneficiary families in the locality.
In addition, Catholics in the province provided a total of 1,500 m2 of land for expanding local roads and 17,000 m2 of agricultural land for building water canals.
Catholics in Ha Nam province currently has over 112,000 followers (accounting for 13.5 % the provincial population).
