Over the past year, Catholics in Ha Tinh have actively joint in social movements and programs launched by local authorities for socio-economic development in the locality. In particular, Catholic young have proactively joined the army in accordance with the Law on Military Service.

In the recruitment day 2021, about 1,200 young citizens in the province including 130 Catholic youths joint the military service,. This year has the highest number of enlisted Catholic youths (116 young Catholics in 2019 and 97 Catholic youths in 2020). Huong Khe district has the highest number of enlisted youths with 28 Catholics.

In order to create an atmosphere of excitement in the enlistment day, Ha Tinh authorities have organized exchange meetings with young people and presented gifts to newly enlisted youth who have difficult circumstances in the province. Especially, youths have also undergone courses on political and military training before joining the army.
