On June 13, Auxiliary Bishop of Vinh diocese Peter Nguyễn Văn Viên presided over the ground-breaking ceremony for construction of Giap Tam parish’s tenet training facility in Quang Binh province’s Ba Don town.
Attending the ceremony were representatives from the local authorities, priests and a large number of Catholics from Giap Tam and neighboring parihes.
Once completed the tenet training building will have three stories with eight classrooms, and serve tenets training for 330 pupils in the parish.
Giap Tam Parish located in Quang Minh commune, Ba Don town, was established in 1938 as a separation from Con Nam parish. Currently the parish has 186 Catholic households with 852 people.
