On May 8, Cardinal Peter Nguyễn Văn Nhơn, Archbishop of Hanoi Archdiocese visited and congratulated the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in Quan Su pagoda on occasion of the Buddha’s Birthday Festival 2017-B.E. 2561.
Most Ven. Standing Vice President of the VBS Executive Council Thích Thanh Nhiễu welcomed the Catholic delegation.
During the visiting reception, Cardinal Peter Nguyễn Văn Nhơn extended Vesak greeting to Buddhist dignitaries and followers. He also expressed his hope that the two religions would continue promoting solidarity and friendship, contributing to peace and prosperity in the country and bringing happiness to the people.
