On September 8th, 2014, the Caodai Tay Ninh Church held a solemn opening ceremony for Yen Dieu Tri Cung festival at Bao An Tu, Tay Ninh Holy See. This is one of the two important festivals of Caodai dignitaries, deacons and followers annually.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Phạm Dũng, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, Mr. Trần Lưu Quang, Vice-Chairman of Tay Ninh provincial People’s Committee, delegations from the Committee for Religious Affairs of provinces and cities such as: Tra Vinh, Ben Tre, Ninh Thuan, Can Tho, Lam Dong, Ho Chi Minh city, An Giang…
Leaders from the Caodai Tay Ninh Church welcomed delegations at the Guest House of the Tay Ninh Holy see. Then, delegates visited 92 stalls of fruit and food (3 stalls more as compared to the previous year), including 1 stall of Caodai dignitaries, deacons from abroad made of fruits and jam modeling 2 images of Eiffel Tower and the Liberty statue, and many stalls from the other parishes throughout the country sent to offer to the Great Mother.
Cardinal Thượng Tám Thanh delivered a speech at the opening ceremony and informed that over the past year, Caodai dignitaries, deacons and followers have strived for “better secular and religious life”, actively joint in charitable and social activities.
Speaking at the reception, Mr. Trần Lưu Quang highly valued efforts of Caodai dignitaries and followers in bringing religious and social achievements in localities.
