On December 26, Bishop of Bui Chu diocese cum Chairman of the Committee on Charitable and Social Actions – Caritas Vietnam Thomas Vũ Đình Hiệu handed over 6 charitable houses to poor families from parishes of Nam Phuong and Dai Dong in the diocese on occasion of Christmas 2015.
Attending the event also included Priest Director of Caritas Bui Chu Joseph Trần Hưng Đạo, Priest of Dai Dong parish Joseph Phạm Văn Hy, representatives of the pastoral council of the two parishes.
Each charitable house presented to Catholic families was built at an estimated cost from VND 60 to VND100 million.
According to Priest Trần Hưng Đạo, this charitable program was implemented by Caritas Bui Chu in collaboration with donors in the diocese.
