The Caristas of Bui Chu Diocese in collaboration with the Eye Bank of the Central Eye Hospital held on December 19 for honoring those donating corneas.
The event taking place in Quan Phuong Saint Temple parish in Nam Dinh province’s Hai Hau district saw the presence of Priest Director of Caritas Bui Chu John Baptiste Mai Quang Tiến, Dr. Deputy Director of the eye hospital Phạm Ngọc Đông, representatives of the eye bank, Quan Phuong deanery and Quan Phuong Saint Temple Parish, and families of cornea donors.
This is the second collaboration between the central eye hospital and the Caritas Bui Chu for honoring cornea donors in Hai Hau district.
As reported, the eye bank has received corneas from 161 people for the year 2019, and Nam Dinh province is the locality having the highest number of 83 people.
