Buddhists support construction of rural bridge, classrooms in Tra Vinh, Dak Lak

Venerable Thích Minh Trí, Abbot of Long Buu pagoda located in Nhi Long commune, Tra Vinh province’s Cang Long district in collaboration with local authorities held on June 19 a ground-breaking ceremony to start construction of the rural bridge No. 51 in An Truong commune in the district.  

The ceremony saw the presence of Vice Chairman of People’s Committee in Cang Long district Huỳnh Công Tín and Chairman of the People’s Council in the commune Trần Văn Dũng.

At the ceremony, Venerable Thích Minh Trí took the chance to thank Buddhists and sponsors across country and abroad for their financial supports, creating favorable conditions for local people and pupils in traveling and trading of goods.

It’s reported that, the construction of the bridge with 2.2 meters wide, 25 meters long, would cost 110 million VND.

At the ceremony of new classrooms for kindergarten in Krong Pak district, Dak Lak provine

Earlier, the construction of two kindergarten classrooms for children in Village 7, Ea Phe commune, Dak Lak province’s Krong Pak district was started on June 18.

Attending the event included Secretary of Party’s Committee in Krong Pak district Trần Hồng Tiến, Venerable Thích Minh Đăng, Deputy Head of the social charity board under the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Chapter in Dak Lak, representatives from local authorities, and donors from provinces of Dak Lak, Dak Nong and Lam Dong.

The construction of two classrooms has the total area of 97m2, costs about 240 million VND, and will be completed in the middle of August, 2021.
