Buddhists in provinces join efforts in preventing Covid-19 pandemic

Responding a call by Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc, Buddhists in the country have proactively joint hands in supporting the Covid-19 prevention work.  

As reported, Most Venerable Member of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Central Executive Council cum Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Committee in Lam Dong province Thích Thanh Tân on June 11 handed over 500 million VND to the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) for the Covid-19 prevention work.

The donation was contributed by monks, nuns and lay Buddhists in the province.

Early, a delegation led by Most Venerable Member of the VBS’s Central Executive Council cum Vice Chairman and Chief Secretary of the VBS’s Executive Committee in Thua Thien Hue province Thích Huệ Phước on June 8 visited and presented 100 million VND to the provincial VFF for the pandemic prevention work in the country.
