Buddhist temples in Tien Giang presents scholarships to students, gift sets to disadvantaged people

Several Buddhist pagodas in the southern province of Tien Giang presented on August 30 1,280 gift sets to the disadvantaged and 33 scholarships to local students, on occasion of Vu Lan Festival – Buddhist Parents’ Day 2020.  

In particular, Vinh Binh and Linh Son pagodas in the province’s Go Cong Tay districts contributed 280 gift sets and 15 scholarships, Nam An and Linh Phong pagodas in Chau Thanh district offered 430 gift sets, Phuoc An temple in Cai Be district presented 200 gift sets, Tinh Nghiem pagoda in My Tho Provincial City contributed 200 gift sets and 18 scholarships, and Sac Tu Long An pagoda in Cai Lay district gave out 150 gift sets as well as supported the construction of one local bridge.
