The event elected 69 members to the the VBS’s Executive Committee in the province for the 2022 – 2027 tenure, with Most Venerable Thích Khế Chơi was selected as the Committee Chairman.

As reviewed at the congress, in the last term, the VBS’s Executive Committee in the province has sent 40,500 sets of essential supplies valued at over 20 billion VND in total to disadvantaged people seriously affected by floods and the pandemic, and contributed nearly 6 billion VND for the construction of charitable houses helping people in Central area to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

On the occasion, 16 Buddhist groups and 29 Buddhist individuals in Thua Thien Hue province have received certificates of merit from the VBS’s Central Executive Council, and one Buddhist group and eight individuals in the province were awarded with certificates of recommendation from the provincial People’s Committee.
