The Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Chapter in Ca Mau province has reviewed its performance 2018 at a meeting held on January 15 in Phat To pagoda lcoated in Ca Mau city.
Attending the event included Senior Venerable Chairman of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee Thích Huệ Thành and members of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee.
Local guests at the event included Vice Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Đoàn Tấn Sỹ and local authorities’ representatives.
As reported at the meeting, the Executive Committee of the VBS’s Chapter in Ca Mau province has recorded remarkable results in Buddhist and social activities for the past year. In 2018, the Buddhist executive committee in the city raised approximately VND 30 billion for supporting the poor, building the bridges, donating wheelchairs to people with disabilities, presenting scholarships to poor and excellent students, etc.
