The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in Ho Chi Minh city held on February 5 a charity program for the poor in three districts of the city ahead of the Lunar New Year 2018.
The charity program takes place in Pho Quang pagoda located in Tan Binh district
The charity programs taking place in Buddhist temples of Vietnam Quoc Tu, Pho Quang and Bat Buu Phat Dai in the three districts of No.10, Tan Binh and Binh Chanh was organized in collaboration with the VBS’s executive board in the three districts.

During the three charity events, 3,000 gift sets were presented to poor households from the three districts. Each gifts set contained 10kg of rice, one box of noodle and VND 500,000 in cash.
The charity program was valued at over VND 2 billion, mostly contributed by the city VBS’s Executive Committee.
