The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Chapter in Ca Mau province opens its annual summer retreat 2017 (B.E. 2561) at a ceremony held on June 13 at Phat To pagoda located in Ca Mau provincial city.
Attending the ceremony included Senior Venerable Member of the VBS’s Central Executive Council cum Chairman of the VBS Chapter’s Executive Committee in Ca Mau province Thích Huệ Thành, Most Venerable Member of the VBS’s Central Executive Council cum Standing-Vice Chairman of the provincial VBS Executive Committee Thạch Hà, and about 200 monks and nuns in the province.
The annual Buddhist course this year is the 30th retreat held by the VBS Chapter and is taking place until September 2 at two venues of Phat To and Kim Son pagodas
