Implementing the Noification N0 5540/TB/BTS TƯ dated February 13, 2014 and the Plan of the Central Executive Council of Hoa Hao Buddhism for the 4th general Congress (2014-2019), commune-level Managing Boards of Hoa Hao Buddhism in Tien Giang province have completed the organization of local-level congresses. Talking about the result of these congresses, Mr Võ Văn Thượng. Head of Representative Committee of Hoa Hao Buddhism in Tien Giang province has following briefings:
- 14 commune-level Managing Boards have successful conducted the organization of local-level congresses on early proposed time, which is from 07/3 – 28/3/2014.
- Delegates and people eagerly and proactively took part in the congresses in a decent manner and in accordance with guidelines by the Central Executive Council and the organizing committees.
- There were 42 proposals and recommendations to draft Charter of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Church, on contents such as the church name, names of church leaders, charity activities, issuance of the church card,…
- Congresses elected 14 managing boards for the 2014-2019 term, consisting of 94 members
- Congresses elected 23 delegates to the general congress, to be held in May 2014.
- Successful organization of 14 commune-level congresses was due to several reasons including favorable conditions created by the government at various levels, thorough guidelines by the Central Executive Council; unities among followers in 14 commune.
The Head of Representative Committee of Hoa Hao Buddhism in Tien Giang province also expressed that, as the head of the delegation of Hoa Hao Buddhism in Tien Giang province to the upcoming general congress, he would do his best so that delegates of Tien Giang province will make active contributions to the general congress. ./.
