Bishop of My Tho Diocese Peter Nguyễn Văn Khảm presided on April 8 a feast of divine mercy at the diocese’s pastoral center located in Tien Giang province’s My Tho City.
The event saw the participation of large numbers of priests, clergies and Catholic followers of the diocese.
The feast of divine mercy of the Catholic Church is celebrated on the Sunday after the Easter Sunday. During this feast, Christians will make the confession and participate in a Holy Communion to show their devotions to the Divine Mercy of Jesus Christ and receive His forgiving and mercy. In addition, celebrating the divine mercy of Jesus Christ is a chance to remind Christians themselves to acknowledge mistakes and treat others in their families and communities with mercy and tolerance.
