Binh Duong province stone laying ceremony for the construction of Phuoc An pagoda

On May 18, 2015, the Thu Dau Mot’s Buddhist Representative Board conducted the stone – laying ceremony for the construction of Phuoc An pagoda. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyễn Minh Đức, former Provincial Party Committee Secretary.

Phuoc An pagoda located in Street 3, Phu Loi Ward and is the office of the Thu Dau Mot Buddhist Representatives Board. The pagoda was built more than a century ago so it degraded seriously and could not meet religious needs in Buddhist festivals. With approval of local authorities, the Thu Dau Mot Buddhist Representative Board held a stone - laying ceremony to restore Phuoc An pagoda.

According to reports, the renovation of Phuoc An pagoda include: Main Hall, Avalokitesvara Hall, main gate, garden, lotus pond…. Upgrading of Phuoc An pagoda will also contribute to the development of Thu Dau Mot city.
