A ceremony was held on May 24 for inauguration and consecration of the church of Binh Dien Catholic parish in Hue city.
The ceremony was presided over by President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam cum Archbishop of Hue Archdiocese Joseph Nguyễn Chí Linh, and attended by representatives from local authorities and a large number of Catholics in the parish.
During the ceremony, Archbishop Nguyễn Văn Linh performed the ribbon-cutting rite and initiated the ritual for dedication of its church.
Binh Dien parish under the Hue Archdiocese was established in 1976 and its original church was built in 1998. The upgrade of the church was started in May 1, 2015.
