On November 1, at the Ben Tre Holy See, the Representative Committee of the Correct Path Caodai Church held a conference to review results of religious affairs in its 90th religious year (2015).
Attending the conference were representatives from the Standing Committee of the Church including Principal Archbishop Chairman Nguyễn Văn Tấn, Principal Archbishop Vice-Chairwoman Hương Học and 120 delegates from 47 out of 56 management boards of parishes and worshipping establishments. Local guests at the conference included representatives from the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs, the provincial Public Security and the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front.
At the conference, participants heard about results of religious activities in 90th religious years and mapped out the Church’s working plan in 91st religious years. It’s reported that, during the 90th religious year, there have been over 12,000 people converted to the religion; the Church has spent over three billion VND on building and upgrading of worshipping places; nearly VND 300 million on charities activities such as building houses for the poor, provision of health care, free examination and check up.
Speaking at the conference, representative of provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Võ Văn Hai spoke highly of achievements obtained by the Church over the past year. He also praised Caodai dignitaries, deacons and followers for actively participating in the movements launched by local authorities and promoting fine traditions, contributing to build the prosperous country.
Speaking at the conference, Principal Archbishop Chairman Thượng Tấn Thanh expressed his thank to local authorities and urged the Church’s representative committees, the management boards of parishes, dignitaries, deacons and followers to overcome difficulties in order to achieve more successes in the coming time.
