On occasion of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara's Enlightenment Day (on the 19th of the 6th month in lunar calendar), Bao Quang Pagoda located in Da Nang city’s Hai Chau district organized a charity program to blind people in the city on July 4.
This charitable event was organized by Superior Nun Head of the Committee for Social Charity under the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the city cum Abbess of Bao Quang Pagoda Thích Nữ Diệu Cảnh.
According to the superior nun, after handing over gift sets (each worth 200,000 VND) to nearly 100 blind people from districts of Son Tra and Hai Chau, the pagoda also provided vegetarian meals to the people with vision disabilities.
