Attending the mass included Priest James Hà Văn Xung of the diocese’s Cathedral parish, Sisters of the My Tho St. Paul de Chartres and the My Tho Holy Cross Lovers, and a large number of Catholic people from Cathedral parish.

During the mass, the bishop and priest placed of repentance ashes on the foreheads of Catholic dignitaries and lay people, reminding them of repentance their faith in the Gospel.

The Lent 2019 in My Tho diocese is taking place from March 6-18.
