Armed forces in Ba Ria - Vũng Tau province well implement religious affairs

As part of a coordination program between the armed forces in Ba Ria - Vũng Tau province and the local religious communities, the provincial Military Command has implemented many practical activities to strengthen the solidarity and cohesion between the army and religious compatriots, contributing to the socio-economic development and defense-security protection in the province.

Ba Ria - Vung Tau province currently has over 50% of the provincial population being religious followers of Buddhism, Catholicism, Protestantism, and Caodaism. In 2021, the provincial Military Command has organized several dissemination conferences on the national defense and security for over 30,000 monks, nuns and lay Buddhists, built five charity houses for disadvantaged families of religious followers with the total investment of over 400 million VND, and extended visits to 66 religious worshipping places on occasion of major national holidays.

In addition to the propaganda work on the Party’s guidelines and the State's policies, the provincial military command has also supported the construction of several facilities to serve religious people’ social and cultural needs, including a sport facility within Suoi Rao parish with an area of ​​200m2 and the total investment of 110 million VND, in which the Military Region 7 Command donated 400 million VND, and the rest is funded by local sponsors.
