Priest Peter Vũ Minh Hùng of Martino Church in Gia Dinh Deanery under Ho Chi Minh Archdiocese has operated a canteen to support the poor in the locality since May 2, 2016.
Priest Peter Vũ Minh Hùng was born in a poor family so he is sympathetic to the poor and always looks for ways to help them. With the Archdiocese’s support, he has established a canteen with only VND 2,000 per meal.
The canteen serves for poor people and elderly as well as abandoned children, from 10.30 during working days with 350 – 400 meals per day, with assistance from volunteer groups inside and outside Gia Dinh Deanery.
