The 8th annual meeting 2017 of the Committee on Family and Life under the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam took place in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) from September 19-20.
Attending the event included Bishop of Lang Son-Cao Bang Diocese cum Head of the Committee on Family and Life Joseph Châu Ngọc Trì, Secretary of the Committee on Family and Life cum Auxiliary Bishop of HCMC Diocese Louis Nguyễn Anh Tuấn, and over 40 priests who are heads of the family and life board from 20 dioceses across the country.
The 8th annual meeting focused on discussion of the “Pastoral Guidelines for family life” schema for the Catholic Church in Vietnam, preparation of the congress on the family life to be held in 2018 on occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Blessed Pope Paul VI's Encyclical Humanae Vitae, as well as selection of members to participate in World Meeting of Families to be held in Dublin in August, 2018.
