Deputy Secretary of An Giang provincial Party Committee Võ Anh Kiệt led a delegation to visit and meet Khmer Buddhist dignitaries and people on occasion of Sene Dolta festival on September 17.
The delegation visited and presented congratulatory gifts to Khmer Buddhist monks, followers and local residents at the pagodas of Ta Pa, Soai So and Prey Veng in the province’s Tri Ton district.
While conveying his best wishes to Khmer people during the festival, Deputy Secretary Võ Anh Kiệt expressed hope that the Buddhist Khmer dignitaries would further promote solidarity among the Khmer community and encourage followers and locals to proactively join in social movements, contributing to socio-economic development in the locality.
