In the afternoon of Feb, 28, 2014, a working session between authorities and Hoà Hảo Central Management Council was held at the An Hòa Tự (or An Hòa temple), Head Office of Hoà Hảo Central Management Council.
Attending the working session included Mr Nguyễn Thanh Xuân, Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, Mr Dương Văn Khá, Chief of the Committee’s Office, Mr Đỗ Văn Phớn, the representative of Party’s Central Commission for Mass Mobilization and representatives from the Religious Affairs Board of An Giang province.
At the working session, Hoà Hảo Central Management Council preliminarily reported preparation works for the commune – level conferences of Hoà Hảo Buddhism leading to the 4th General Congress of the Church ( the term 2014-2019)
In the past three terms, members of the Council executed their funtions and duties in accordance with the Charter of the Church and State law, ensuring the stable religious activities and creating prestige for the Church, thereby maintaining the religious essence and bringing “good secular and religious life” to believers.
