The 30th Lady of La Vang Pilgrimage Festival was organized at the Our Lady of Lavang Pilgrimage Centre in August 13 to 15, 2014 with the title “New family evangelization”.
The opening ceremony was solemnly held on August 13th, 2014 and Archbishop Paul Bùi Văn Đọc of Ho Chi Minh archdiocese, President of the Vietnam Bishop Conference presided over the ceremony.
Attending the opening ceremony were Archbishop Paul Bùi Văn Đọc; Archbishop Francis Xavier Lê Văn Hồng of Hue archdiocese; Bishop Châu Ngọc Tri of Da Nang diocese; Bishop Nguyễn Văn Khảm of My Tho diocese; Bishop Tri Bửu Thiên of Can Tho diocese; Bishop Nguyễn Văn Đệ of Thai Binh diocese; Auxiliary Bishop Nguyễn Hữu Long of Hung Hoa diocese; Auxiliary Bishop Chu Văn Minh of Hanoi archdiocese; Bishop Nguyễn Văn Trâm of Ba Ria diocese; Bishop Nguyễn Tấn Tước of Phu Cuong diocese; 130 priests, 100 religious brothers and sisters, 70 seminarians and about 7,000 Catholic follwers.
The ceremony took place in solemn atmosphere and favorable conditions for the participation of all pilgrims through the country./.
