643th death anniversary of Lady Victory Nguyễn Thị Bích Châu hosts only rituals, no festive activities for preventing Covid-19 threats

According to Ha Tinh province’s Ky Anh town People's Committee, the 643th of death anniversary of Lady Victory Nguyễn Thị Bích Châu took place from March 04-05 (the 14th – 15th of the second lunar month).  

Lady Victory Nguyễn Thị Bích Châu, known as King Trần Duệ Tông’s favourite Nguyễn Cơ or Bích Lưu, was born in Nam Dinh region in 1356 and died in 1377. The Lady had great contributions to the country under the reign of King Trần Duệ Tông. She is now worshipped in the temple by her name in Ky Ninh commune of the province.

The death anniversary aims to commemorate and honor Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Bích Châu's merit, contributing to preserve and promote cultural values, as well as educate young generations on traditions of patriotism and fighting against foreign invaders.

In previous years, the death anniversary of Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Bích Châu was held with two main parts for worshipping rituals and festive activities. However, due to the complicated situation of the Covid-19 threats, this year event only hosted the rituals, without festive activities, for preventing the epidemic throat.
