Hanoi Cathedral held on June 3 a ceremony for celebrating the 25th anniversary of priesthood ordination of Priests Lorenso Chu Văn Minh, Martino Nguyễn Bá Thỉnh, Peter Nguyễn Văn Nghị, Joseph Trịnh Ngọc Hiên, Stephano Nguyễn Văn Hiền and Joseph Nguyễn Văn Đài.
Archbishop of Hanoi Archdiocese Joseph Vũ Văn Thiên chaired the ceremony. Attending at the event included Cardinal Peter Nguyễn Văn Nhơn, Bishop of Bac Ninh diocese Cosma Hoàng Văn Đạt, priests of the archdiocese and large numbers of Catholic clergies and followers.
During the ceremony, Archbishop Joseph Vũ Văn Thiên praised the priesthood status, regarding them as a blessing from God. He also called on priests to fulfill the priesthood role as a ladder connecting the people to God.
At the ceremony
Priest Lorenso Chu Văn Minh has been promoted as Bishop of the Roman Catholic Church and currently serves as the Director of St. Joseph's Seminary Hanoi since 2005.
