The Committee for Propagation of the central Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) held a press meeting on November 22 in Ho Chi Minh city to announce the national Buddhist propagation conference to be held in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.
The conference is expected to be held on December 5 – 8, 2015 with 1,200 delegates who are monks, nuns from the Buddhist committee for propagation of the provinces and cities throughout the country, 700 Buddhist propagators, 20,000 Buddhist followers and 2,000 youth will attend the conference in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.
Reportedly, the conference considered as the largest activity of the Committee for Propagation of the central VBS 2015 will be held with the theme “Mission of Buddhist propagation - Integration and Development”. Monks and nuns will focus on ways to convey the Buddhist teachings to people through three main topics including the propagation in integration period, propagation affairs and training propagators...
On this occasion, the organization board of the national Buddhist event will present 10 houses, 200 scholarships and 1,000 gifts worth VND 1.2 billion to the poor people.
