181,000 m2 of land allocated, recognized for Catholic practices in Nghe An province in last five years

For the past five years, 37 Catholic establishments including 17 parishes, 18 sub-parishes and two establishments under Catholic congregations have been approved in Nghe An province, according to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in the province.
Speaking with local press at a meeting held on October 12, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in the province informed that a total of 181.540 m2 of land have also been approved for these new Catholic places through either official recognition, grant of land use right certificates or new allocation by the provincial authorities.
The press meeting was held prior to the 7th congress of Catholics building and defending the country in Nghe An province will be held on October 18-19 with the participation of 160 delegates.
