Knight of the Grand Cross Lê Đức Thịnh held on June 28 a private ceremony to mark the 100th day anniversary of the pass away of late Archbishop of Ho Chi Minh City Archdiocese and former President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam Paul Bùi Văn Đọc.
The ceremony taking place in the Knight’s house was chaired by Priest Louis Bertrum Cao Đức Thuận, who is the founder and head of the Society of St Paul in Vietnam, and attended by several priests, clergymen and clergywomen from the Society of St Paul in Vietnam and a large number of the Knight’s relatives and friends.
During the ceremony, Priest Louis Bertrum Cao Đức Thuận, Knight of the Grand Cross Lê Đức Thịnh and all participants paid tribute to late Archbishop Paul Bùi Văn Đọc’s his contributions to the Vietnam Catholic Church as well as his role in encouraging Catholics to fulfill civic duties and make practical contributions to national construction and defense.
It’s known that the ceremony coincided with the liturgical feast of Saints Peter and Paul, and the 11th anniversary of the title of Knight of the Grand Cross awarded to Knight of the Grand Cross Lê Đức Thịnh by the Pope Benedict XVI Paul.
