The World Youth Day 2016, a gathering of young Roman Catholics held every three years in different countries, officially began on July 26 in Poland's southern city of Krakow.
Up to 400 thousand young people from 187 countries attended the opening of the 31st World Youth Day. Nearly 800 cardinals and bishops and thousand of priests from around the world also joint at the event.
