A special program for children took place in old Thang Long citadel on occasion of the International Children Day and the Buddha’s Birthday festival 2015 (B.E.2559) on May 30.
Attending the event organized by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) were Most Venerable Vice Chairman of the VBS Executive Council Thích Thanh Nhiễu, Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns and followers, teachers and 100 excellent pupils from 27 secondary schools and Son Tay Elementary School, and large of a number of children in the city.
State guests at the event included Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Bùi Thanh Hà and representatives from Ministry of Information and Communication, Red Cross Association, Hanoi city Party Committee and People’s Committee.
