Many local Buddhist dignitaries and organizations of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in Gia Lai province held from August 6 - 9 delegation visits for presenting equipment and other necessities for the Covid-19 prevention and control to medical centers, hospitals, and concentrated isolation areas in the province.
During a visit to two districts of Kong Chro and Kbang in the province on August 9, Venerable Thích Quang Dũng, Member of the VBS executive committee cum Vice Chairman of the VBS executive board in An Khe provincial city and Abbot of Quan Am pagoda handed over 200 medical protective suits, 10,000 face masks and 60 bottles of antiseptic water.
On the same day, Senior Venerable Thích Trí Thức, Standing Member of the VBS executive committee visited Medical Center of Mang Yang district and presented 100 medical protective suits, 5,000 face masks and 30 bottles of antiseptic water.

During a visit to Dak Po district, Most Venerable Thích Như Trí, Standing Member of the VBS executive committee cum Abbot of Quy Son pagoda has presented 100 medical protective suits, 5,000 face masks, 30 bottles of antiseptic water, rice, and instant noodles to the concentrated isolation center in the district.

On August 6-7 Nun Thích nữ Hiệp Liên, Abbess of Ngoc Trung monastery located in An Khe provincial city presented 125 sets of necessities to two concentrated quarantine centers in Kong Chro district, and 450 sets of supplies to three quarantine centers based at Hon Cong military barrack’s shooting range, the Vocational Training Center in An Khe provincial city and Dong Gia Lai Ethnic Boarding High School.

On August 6, Venerable Thích Giác Liêm, Head of the VBS’s Supervisory Board in the province cum Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Board in Ia Grai district presented 100 medical protective suits, 5,000 face masks, 30 bottles of antiseptic water, three tons of rice and 30 boxes of instant noodles to the Office of the district Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control.

On the same day, Venerable Thích Đức Chánh, Vice Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Board in Chu Puh district visited the Covid-19 checkpoint based at bridge 110 area in the district for presenting 500 medical protective suits, 500 face masks, 500 pairs of medical gloves and 50 bottles of antiseptic water, with the total value of 40 million VND.

A delegation led by Venerable Thích Quang Hướng and Nun Thích nữ Minh Kiều, Members of the VBS executive committee has visited the isolation center baed in Dien Phu Vocational Training School in Pleiku City for handing over 100 medical protective suits, 5,000 face masks, 300 pairs of medical gloves, 40 bottles of antiseptic water, 500 bottles of salt water, 10 cans of nutritional milk powder for children, 15 cartons of canned milk and 50 boxes of instant noodles, worth 35 million VND in total.

The charity delegation also visited the Field Hospital in Gia Lai province for donating 150 medical protective suits, 150 N95 face masks, 200 bottles of salt water, 500 pairs of medical gloves, 1 barrel of antiseptic water, 1 barrel of 90 degree alcohol, 50 boxes of noodles, 15 boxes of canned milk and 10 cans of powdered milk, with the total contributing value of 35 million VND.

The VBS Social Charity Board in Duc Co district, in collaboration with the district Public Security and sponsors, has visited Covid-19 checkpoints in the district for handing over 28 million VND in cash and necessities to forces on duty for the epidemic prevent and control.
