The pagoda was built on 100 hectares by late Most Venerable Thích Thiện Hòa  in 1958 and upgraded in 1982, consisting of a statue garden, tower, and sanctum and  school.

The main worshipping hall was built in 2002 with 91 meters long and 46 meters wide and has been recognized by the Vietnam Record Book as the largest worshipping hall in Vietnam by the year 2006.

Dai Tong Lam Buddhist School was completed in 1995 and could accommodate over 1,000 monks and nuns.

The statue garden near the entrance of the pagoda has 48 statues of Buddha Amitabha made of granite and it’s the largest garden of Buddhist granite statues in Vietnam.

A concrete and 18meter-high statue is placed in the middle of the statute garden

The main hall installs nine Buddhist granite statues.

The surrounding walls are attached with 10,000 small Buddhist statues 

Each statute is 0.25 meters wide and 0.3 meters high

Dai Tong Lam Pagoda was recognized by the Vietnam Record Book for its biggest number of Buddhist statues in 2007.
