Phuoc Son Monastery is home to the largest amount of Buddhist clergy in Dong Nai province during the annual retreat with 150 monks and 250 clergywomen.
During three-month rainy retreat (from Jun 15 to September 15), Buddhist monks and clergywomen would also practice the traditional alms-begging to cultivate virtues in order to recreate an image of the Buddhist Sangha in the early time.
