Pagodas, temples, and other religious sites throughout the capital have reopened after being temporarily closed as part of efforts to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
A notice detailing COVID-19 prevention measures is placed on every table at Phu Tay Ho, one of the capital’s most renowned shrines in West Lake district of Hanoi.
Each person is now fully aware of the need to thoroughly wash their hands and wear a face mask before entering the relic site.
Upon reopening there are not many visitors to Phu Tay Ho as normal, with most worshippers strictly following COVID-19 prevention measures, including wearing face masks throughout their visit to the site.

Security forces are on duty from the site’s opening in order to record the body temperature of worshippers and to remind people of the need to use hand sanitizer at the Ha pagoda in Cau Giay district.
Many pilgrims flock to the pagoda on the first day of the site resuming operations.
A notice is placed at the gate of the pagoda to remind all worshippers to don face masks during their visit.
There are also guidelines put up to guide locals on the process of completing medical declarations.

Pagodas, temples, and relic sites have been closed since February 16. Since the capital hasn’t recorded any positive COVID-19 cases among the community for 17 days, lockdown restrictions are lifted on 18 places linked to COVID-19 patients.
The reopening of relic sites aims to meet the demands of local people at the beginning of the new lunar year.
