My Tho diocese solemnly held on April 13 a Chrism mass in Nu Vuong Hoa Binh parish located in ward 6 of Tien Giang province’s My Tho city.
At the mass
The event was presided over Bishop of My Tho diocese Peter Nguyễn Văn Khảm and attended by priests, clergymen, clergywomen, seminarians and parishioners in the diocese.
The Chrism mass is annually held in Holy Week before Easter. Consecrated three oils that are used in the Chrism mass include the oil of catechumens for baptism, the oil of the infirm for the anointing of the sick, and the oil for the sacraments of baptism, confirmation and holy orders.
