Mud festival in Van village

The Mud festival (known asVat Cau Nuoc) is a unique festivalcelebrated by locals in Van village, Bac Giang province’s Viet Yen district in Vietnam.

The festival features a traditional game played on a muddy field of 200 square meters in front of a local crowd. 16 local mendivided into two teams competed to win a large ball. The goal is to bring the ball back within your own zone and push the ball down the hole placed in the two ends of the field.This yearcultural event taking placefrom May 26-28 atTam GiangGods temple attracted many visitors including foreigners.
