French President visits Kim Ngan Temple in Hanoi

Kim Ngan Temple located at 42 Hang Bac Street in Hanoi city’s Hoan Kiem district is one of places French President Francois Hollande visited on Sept. 6 during his trip to Vietnam. 

The temple was built from the later Le dynasty (late 15th century to early 16th century) and regarded as one of the most ancient temples in Hanoi Old Quarter.

The temple was upgraded and expanded in 2009 with an area of 575 m2

Kim Ngan Temple was classified as the National Relic in October 2012 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
