Calligraphy exhibition celebrates district congress of Buddhist Sangha in Nam Tu Liem district

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Board in Hanoi’s Nam Tu Liem district in collaboration with Nhan My school opened on November 14 a calligraphy exhibition in Me Tri Thuong pagoda.
Present at the event’s opening ceremony included Venerable Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Board in Nam Tu Liem district cum Abbot of Me Tri Thuong pagoda Thích Quảng Tĩnh, Head of Nhan My school Yên Sơn Lê Trung Kiên, Doctor Director of the Institute of Literature under the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences cum Chairman of Nhan My school’s Science Council Phạm Văn Ánh.
The exhibition themed “Traditional values of Confucianism and Buddhism” drew the participation of over 60 calligraphy artworks in four types of Trien, Le, Hanh, Khai, with contents covering classic quotes and poetries of Confucianism and Buddhism. During the opening ceremony, the exhibition organizing board presented awards to ten best artworks.
The exhibition runs until November 20.
