Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Bùi Thanh Hà led a delegation visiting Laos and attending the first Cambodia – Laos – Vietnam Buddhist Leader’s conference held on November 12 in Vientiane.
The conference initiated by Buddhist leaders of the Indochinese countries aimed to strengthen the solidarity as well as promote Buddhist values for peace and development.
During the visit at the invitation of the Lao Front for National Construction and the Lao Buddhist Coalition, the GCRA’s delegation had a courtesy call to the Lao Front for National Construction, and had meetings with the Embassy of Vietnam in Laos and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s delegation joining the Buddhist conference.
Earlier on November 11, the GCRA’s delegation attended the ceremony for the debut of the coordinating board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in Laos and a requiem for heroic martyrs and deceased compatriots of the two countries of Vietnam and Laos at Bang Long pagoda located in Vientiane, Capital of Laos.
