Religious establishments in Ho Chi Minh city strictly observe Covid-19 preventive measures

For imposing the social distancing in Ho Chi Minh City according to the Prime Minister's Directive 15/2020, for 15 days, from 00:00 on May 31, in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the city municipal authorities have asked for suspension of religious practices.  

In the first days of the social distancing, religious establishments in the city have suspended religious gatherings of large participants.

Tu Van pagoda located in Phu Nhuan ward near with Hoan My Hospital where several Covid-19 cases have been found in the past few days, closes and suspends all religious activities

Tan Sa Chau church in Le Van Si street, ward 2, Tan Binh district, daily providing 400 charity meals also posts the sign “due to complicated of the Covid-19 pandemic, the church suspends all religious practices”

An outdoor prayer place in Bac Hai residence, District 10 has been locked
